The Ukrainian cinematography has long been part and parcel of the cinematic world, contributing to its development with highly creative personalities such as Aleksander Dovzhenko and Mikhail Kaufman, Sergey Paradzhanov and Yuri Iljenko, Roman Balayan and Leonid Osyka. Their works of art have entered the Golden Fund of cinema and are known by professionals and cinema lovers all over the world. Our lecture will be about unknown pages and names of Ukrainian cinematographic art, which have been deleted from our history by the totalitarian regime. We will also talk about "the new wave" of young Ukrainian masters of cinema, who made themselves known after the Revolution of dignity.
