The program Film and Discussion brings the movie "Silent Child" to pupils of elementary schools in Zagreb! Today, at 12 o'clock, students have seen the movie at Kinoteka Cinema, which portrays a story about a girl and her family.
Located in rural England, we follow the story of a completely deaf child Libby. Her middle class family; made up of two older brothers, a constantly overwhelmed mother and her husband, a businessman, is looking for a quick fix to repair her "broken" child to equip her to function in the real world. But when a social worker for the deaf comes to their aid, it is obvious that Libby is not the one that needs to be repaired.
After the film, there was a lively and dynamic conversation between students and guests - Denis Marijon, president of the Croatian Association of Youth and Disabled Students "SUMSI", Albina Žnidar, prof. rehabilitator, known as the first blind person in Croatia who started her own business and Angel Naumovski, deaf man, theater director and bass guitarists of the rock band called Deaf Band Dlan. The discussion was moderated by Vanja Daskalović.
