The question that plagued many parents this week - what about their children when they are not in school - did not apply to Dialogy students. In its first edition in the 2021/22, The Dialogy was visited by as many as ten schools from all over Croatia. More than two hundred students and their professors had the opportunity to watch the film, listen to short presentations by experts and then talk to a special guest - a young refugee from Iran who got in Croatia a new home, many friends and most importantly: security and protection.
Dialogy on the topic of refugee integration was also visited by Diana Ravlija, a social worker of the Jesuit Refugee Service, who described to the participants the work of her association, but more importantly: the position of refugees in Croatia and the world. After watching the film in which Jan Kapić, spokesman for UNHCR Croatia, presented a number of extremely interesting information, a conversation followed with a young Croatian Iranian Yazdan, who is a great example of the successful integration of refugees into our society. The inspiring Yazdan promptyed the students to pose a number of questions and comments, so in the end the Dialogy school lesson lasted more than an hour instead of 45 minutes.
This week's Dialogy was visited by students from the following primary schools: Ante Kovačić (Marija Gorica), Centar (Rijeka), Dragutin Kušlan (Zagreb), Ivan Gundulić (Dubrovnik), Ivan Ranger (Kamenica), Josip Badalić (Graberje Ivanečko), Marija and Line Umag), Vladimir Nazor (Pazin), Sveti Petar (Orehovac) and Špansko Oranice (Zagreb).
